The Farmers and Merchants National Bank was chartered on May 6, 1906. The bank’s name and location have not changed since it was established. Due to growth of the bank, five major adjacent building acquisitions, along with extensive modeling have taken place. The Drive-Up construction was completed for an opening in March 1975. Our DuBois facility was acquired in 1991. On April 2, 1997, our full service bank was opened in Hoyleton.
Technology grew with the bank, and one of the first ATM’s in Washington County was installed at the main bank later. Additional ATM's were added at the Hoyleton branch, Nashville Interior, Little Nashville, Krogers, Drive-Up, and Little Nashville Shell Station locations. Now, through F & M’s Anytime Line (618-327-9164) you may make loan payments, transfer funds, make deposits, make inquiries on your deposit and loan accounts, 24 hours a day all from the convenieiice of your house, car or boat.
The Farmers and Merchants National Bank has taken pride in its continued involvement in the community. Over the years the bank has supported schools, churches, industrial developments, organizations and individual efforts. Bank personnel are encouraged to become involved in community projects so as to keep abreast of all developments in the community. Farmers and Merchants is truly a community minded independent bank.
First Community Credit Union
www.firstcommunity.com
First Community Credit Union is a cooperative, owned and operated by its members. This is what distinguishes the credit union from other Financial Institutions. Members put their money in a variety of savings accounts, and that money, in turn, is lent to members. After operating expenses and reserve requirements are met, loan income is returned to all members in the form of dividends and comprehensive financial services. First Community Credit Union is a $1 billion Financial Institution. Its mission is to provide quality products and affordable financial services.
"Our company was growing by leaps and bounds and so was our IT infrastructure. It wasn't a matter of simply hiring additional staff, we needed someone to help us take a step back and take stock of where we really were. As a billion dollar Financial Institution with over seventy years in business, we know our industry. We were less comfortable, however, with the ever-changing world of IT and how much it now affects everything that we do as an organization. CenterLine brought with them technical expertise, but more importantly a very personal one-on-one approach. We had an immediate rapport with their staff which really facilitated them gaining the insight that they needed to do the project for us. We've been very happy with both the service and the relationship. It's good to know they're out there and they'll be there for us." - Laura Alfeldt, VP-Information Services
